About the Item
Exceptional ceramic tile wall plaque / sculpture with various geometric pattern and multi-color, crystalline crackle glaze tiles. Tiles mounted to original wood back. Identified on verso with artists business card, circa 1960s.
Jane McAllister Dart received a certificate in industrial design from Pratt Institute, NY, in 1935, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts from Ohio State University. She taught in the Art Department at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI for 36 years, and became Professor Emeritus in 1978.
