Description:
Each coat of arms rendered with polychrome application, featuring the Scottish variant of the Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom, the imperial crown surmounting the shield quarterly, the Scottish arms of a red lion rampant and double tressure fleur de lis on gold ground occupying quarters I and IV, the three gold passant guardant lions of England in the II quarter, and the Irish harp on blue to the VI, the shield surrounded by the Garter circlet reading ‘HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE’ (Anglo-Norman ‘shame him who thinks evil of it’), supported to the right by the crowned and chained unicorn of Scotland and to the left the crowned lion of England, all above the bannered motto ‘DIEU ET MON DROIT’ (French ‘God and my right’).
