Incredibly Rare Mid Century Modern 8 pointed Star Wall Sculpture Moroccan Art Large & Impressive 32" wide This is a marvelous and rare example of Moroccan artistry and arts and crafts from the middle of the 20th century. This work is virtually exploding with color and shapes. This work makes a dramatic and delightful statement in your interiors! This piece has significant age wear and this adds to its wonderful appearance and presence. The art sculpture has had fixatif applied to prevent any further enamel losses and to keep it looking "just right". 8 sided stars have significant meaning in history. In Islam the 8-pointed star symbolizes God's throne and the 8 Angels who flank Him. In Christian lore, the 8-pointed star of Bethlehem led the three wise men to Jesus birthplace. In Hinduism, the Ashtha Lakshmi is a symbol made of two squares placed on top of each other. This symbol represents the eight different forms of the goddess Lakshmi. Lakshmi is the goddess of good fortune, wealth, and prosperity.
