About the Item

An Extraordinary Pair of early 20th century carved wood Panels depicting the Four Seasons. Tall narrow unpainted panels with high relief carved decoration with motifs of the Four Seasons. One with Spring on the bottom with a hat and umbrella and Summer above with a bird and nest with its chicks. The second panel with Autumn above featuring fruits of the harvest in a basket, and Winter below with a pair of ice skates and a long scarf. All motifs with complimentary carved frames with motifs particular to the season. Measures: Height. 79", Width. 27", Depth 3" Condition: Please see all detail photos. There is some very slight age-warping being mentioned for accuracy. The overall condition is very good with only minor age-related nicks and rubs and some wood losses to the ice skates and a few other minor losses which do not detract from the incredible presentation.
