For your consideration is a leaf of vellum from a Book of Hours containing decorated initials with text in an accomplished late Gothic book hand. Ruling in pink still visible throughout the text. The recto contains 17 lines of text with a rubric in red at the top of page. A single three line initial is also present, created out of acanthus leaves, the initial rests on a gold ground with a single red flower filling the center. The version also contains 17 lines of text only with additions to the text written in the left and lower margins. Dimensions: 25h x 22w (framed). In excellent vintage condition.
