Large Antique Wooden Carved Black Forest Baroque Stag Head with 10 Point Trophy
Located in Berghuelen, DE
Large Antique Wooden Carved Black Forest Baroque stag head with 10 Point Trophy
A large antique Black Forest baroque stag head. Carved in typical abstract style of the early 18th century. It is mounted on a wooden carved and painted plaque with emblem and foliages and features a large real stag antler trophy. The head still has its original polycrome painted finish witch is partly restored. The left side of the plaque has been replaced. A great individual piece which enhances every wall decoration.
A special way to present hunting trophies is to attach them to carved animal heads. This tradition exists since the Middle Ages. Even after intensive investigations, it is not yet possible to explain exactly how this happened. The carved heads are often colored and mounted on cartouches that are also carved and painted. They follow a naturalistic representation and one could think that in this way they are symbolically brought back from the abstraction of dead antlers into liveliness. Famous artists to be named are Madl in Ichenhausen, Germany and Heissl in Ebensee, Austria. Around 1900, the antler collection...

19th Century French Carved Walnut Royal Coat of Arms of Canada in Gilt Frame
Located in Dallas, TX
Crafted in France circa 1880 and set on a colorful plaid background fabric, the elegant framed shield features the coat of arms of Canada. Hand carved in solid fruitwood, the detailed Blason is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina; decorate a man's office or study with this fine antique crest!
The Arms of Canada also known as the Royal Coat of Arms of Canada is, since 1921, the official coat of arms of the Canadian monarch and thus also of Canada. It is closely modeled after the royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom with French and distinctive Canadian elements replacing or added to those derived from the British version. The maple leaves in the shield, blazoned "proper", were originally drawn green but were redrawn red in 1957 and a circlet of the Order of Canada was added to the arms for limited use in 1987. The shield design forms the monarch's royal standard and is also found on the Canadian Red Ensign. The Flag of the Governor General of Canada, which formerly used the shield over the Union Flag, now uses the crest of the arms on a blue field. The arms are embossed on the covers of Canadian passports, in order to legally signify and symbolize that the bearer is traveling under the aid of the Crown of Canada.
A Mari Usque Ad Mare (English: From Sea to Sea) is the Canadian national motto. The phrase comes from the Latin Vulgate translation of Psalm 72:8 in the Bible: "Et dominabitur a mari usque ad mare, et a flumine usque ad terminos terrae". (King James Bible...

An antique wooden carved Black Forest baroque deer head. Carved in typical abstract style of the 18th century. It features a large real deer antler trophy and rests of its original gilded finish. A great individual piece which enhances every wall decoration.

Boulle style clock large French gilt bronze bracket
Located in Warsaw, PL
A large French gilt bronze bracket clock – symbolizing the triumphant song of the Louis XIV
You will discover the full Baroque style of the reign of King Louis XIV through this large French Gilt bronze ebony marquetry bracket clock. The inner core of the clock is ebony. The outside of the clock is inlaid with extremely delicate and skillful gilt bronze in the motifs. Ormolu combined with ebony will make the clock shine in the middle of the room.
This cartel clock makes a strong visual impression because the two colors of gold and black blend together to enhance the typical beauty of the luxurious Boulle style. These are also prominent colors that are often loved by Boulle – the master of marquetry. If you want to own a bracket clock inspired by the symmetrical style of the Louis XIV period, don't miss this sophisticated product.
Atop the clock is an image of Pheme - a messenger sent by Zeus with free wings and a trumpet. Pheme is an image that symbolizes fame. The bottom of the clock shows the meticulousness in the creative thinking of the artisan by arranging the floral motifs smartly.
Through the technique of marquetry as well as thanks to the skillful hands and creativity of artisan Noel Mornanh Paris, this wall clock brings unexpected majesty and regalness. An antique clock is bordered around the front face with a flower and acanthus leaf motif. The four lower corners of the clock depict the natural beauty of a woman. In the center of the clock, the image of a woman wearing a laurel wreath represents victory and glory. At the top is a sitting man representing the throne to rule the country.
The inside of the clock dial is printed with very unique Roman numerals. In addition, its movement has also been overhauled to both function well and bring out the unique aesthetic and lavish beauty of this antique French cartel clock...

Small Carved Fruitwood Tabernacle Panel from France, circa 1700
Located in Dallas, TX
This small fruitwood panel is a lasting remnant of a 17th century tabernacle. A tabernacle is an ornate cabinet often used in Catholic churches and typically placed above an altar. The church would place vessels related to the Eucharist, often a ciborium or a pyx, behind the door. Tabernacles usually had locking doors to keep the sacraments safe, and this little board was likely inset within a larger molding on the front door.
The panel has been hand carved in highly detailed relief by a master woodworker. A large cross that terminates in curled acanthus leaves dominates the façade. Beneath the crossbar is a pair of S-scroll acanthus branches, one on each side of the cross. You can display this very old fragment...
