Powerful Modernist Welded Iron Head of Jesus Christ
About the Item
A powerful modernist welded iron head of Jesus Christ, circa 1950, a modernist sculpture of a stylized head of Christ with a crown of thorns in the manner of Julio Gonzales. Welded and textured iron mounted on an original stained board, the head measures 10" inches high x 5" inches wide x 3 1/2" inches deep.
Some discoloration and scratches on the mounting board, remnants of a label on verso, best can make out is "Art Center..." (As seen in close-up picture of label on the back).
