Spiegel .01, Standing Smoked Mirror, by Lennart Van Uffelen
Located in Vlimmeren, BE
Spiegel .01 might be one of the more functional pieces of the functionality kills the fun – collection. It exists of a series of mirrors that seem to be hung by force. The nail, from which it is mounted to the wall, creates cracks in the glass. The image is hardly distorted with a linear view, but when looking at it from a different angle it becomes more than just an every day object. No one mirror is the same as they are all smashed by hand. The mirrors are easily installed with the included nails and plugs.

Anne Andersson 2008 Sisal Fiber Sculpture of a Red Lynx Head
Located in Palm Springs, CA
A wonderful wall sculpture by the noted artist Anne Andersson. It is signed and dated 2008 #2 on the back. These sculptures are made of Sisal Fiber from an Agave and meticulously hand painted. The eyes are hand blown glass. the bodies are sculpted from clay.
A brief bio from the artist's website follows:
Anne Andersson's artwork serves as an homage to our planet’s charismatic and rare wild animals. Inspired by the majesty and beauty of exotic wildlife, and motivated by an urge to preserve them, Anne’s astonishingly realistic life-size sculptures capture the experience of seeing these animals up close—without exploiting them. Her work provides a humane alternative to trophy hunting and taxidermy.
