A Unique Ceramic Sculpture - Abstract Face by Britt-Ingrid Persson Sweden
About the Item
A lovely ceramic sculpture made by Britt-Ingrid Persson at her own studio in Sweden in the 1970s. It is 26 cm (10.4") tall and in excellent condition, since it is hand made by her, you see marks in the clay but there are no restorations or damages except from a tiny chip to the base, it might as well been a mark from the production. It also have a tiny crack from the production. However it does not affect the sculpture at all. This is a super-cool sculpture, by one of Swedens mots interesting ceramic-artists if you ask me.
Britt-Ingrid Persson, known as BIP, is a bold and visionary force in Swedish contemporary art. Trained at Konstfack and active since the 1960s, she forged her own path with a studio on Kungsholmen, creating powerful sculptures in ceramic, bronze, and concrete. Her work is deeply human—charged with emotion, social commentary, and timeless presence. From monumental public commissions to intimate gallery pieces, BIP’s art captivates with its raw expression and striking form.
