According to the Japanese tradition, the year is divided into 24 periods and 72 kos, each one representing one of the small transitions that the Nature undergoes during a year. This theme represents the Geishi or "Midsummer" period, form June 27th to July 1st. The here portrayed is: Ayame hana saku. This piece is crafted with silk and cotton and is available as boiseries over a vertical panel measuring 136 x H 196 cm supported by a wood honeycomb structure. The fabric is also available in sheets measuring 140 x H 196 cm.
