Every vintage collector should try and snag at least one Biba dress. Each and every Barbara Hulanicki creation is fashion gold, worthy of coveting and hunting down. This marvelous dress evokes the sexy, empowered 70's woman with her effortless style and take-charge attitude. A deep, midnight-blue dress to the knee with an attached little jacket. Curved lapels and skinny sleeves. The silhouette is quintessentially Biba. Darted at the bust and beautifully fitted, the jacket design is sharp as a tack, with a tiny hint of padding at the peaked shoulders. They're beautifully constructed with tiny pleats. It has no fabric tag, but we believe that this is an acrylic jersey knit. The fabric is just ever so slightly sheer--you can't see through it, but it's like a soft, mid weight teeshirt. Looking at this, it has probably been worn once or twice. We were calling the condition excellent. Covetable, collectible, sexy and desirable Biba! You could wear this to a party with some pretty heels just as easily as to the office with a pair of boots.
