If summer had a sound, it might be waves crashing or crickets chirping; if it had a taste, maybe juicy strawberries or dry rosé. And a texture? Sand, in all its many forms: silky smooth beneath a towel, gritty on wet skin, scorching beneath the feet, comprising the smallest speck or an insurmountable dune.
