Australian Opal 87 carat Cabochon Bracelet

One ladies custom, handmade, 14k yellow gold, excellent quality, large, natural Australian opal cabochon bracelet. Featured in the bracelet is an oval, cabochon natural Australian opal measuring approximately 27.0 mm wide × 45.5mm long x 4.5mm deep and having an estimated weight of 87.0 carats (per original owner and concurred through formula weight estimations). Thorough geological examination has been conducted to determine the nature and authenticity of this gemstone. The opal has a translucent, slightly grayish body-color, exhibiting predominantly green and orange/red flash with secondary violet and third yellow play of color in an even, patchy distribution across the top of the opal.
The opal is bezel set with pierced filigree design work across the opal back. Open filigree design work is down the sides.
The bracelet opens via a side hinge and a hidden box clasp with a double press release.
The gold has a high polished finish.
Total weight of the bracelet is 98.55 grams; total estimated gold weight is 81.55 grams.
The bracelet has a customized box stamped "Marshall Field & Co."
The bracelet had been made by Marshall Field & Co., however it bears no marks.
