About the Item

Vintage mid 20th century open work Gilt Silver bracelet by Willy Winnaess for David-Andersen. 48 four petaled flowers are Enameled in white. The center of each flower is raised above the petals. Sixteen panels encircle the wrist with a partially hidden clasp behind one of the flowers. Original security chain. Length is 19 cm x 3.5 cm wide, links can be removed to make it shorter. Weight 47 grams. Stamped with the convention mark, D - A, 925S, Sterling, Norway, W in a circle. David Andersen was a Norwegian silver and goldsmith during the mid 1800s to 1901. The jewellery company is still family owned. Willy Winnaess was a designer for the company and was active in the 1950s. Condition is Finest used / like new. Minor patina on gilt pars . No apparent damage to enamels,no repaired or missing parts. Second Bracelet on the last image will not be included. > Most of the items that we sell are not new at all if not stated otherwise. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described. Unfortunately Internet sales do not allow us to see the items in person before we get them by post. It is often difficult or impossible to get an accurate characteristics of the weight , color and nature of inclusions without removing the stones from the settings to be weighed and examined and doing that may damage the piece.
