About the Item

A modernist bracelet designed by Fred of Paris. This is a fabulous modernist abstract bangle-bracelet created in Paris France by the jewelry house of Fred Joaillier, back in 1970. This exceptionally rare bracelet has been carefully crafted with circled geometric patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with polished and textured finishes. The design is composed by multiples circular elements placed in different levels, which are embellished with twenty-four round pieces carved from precious rosewoods. Fitted with concealed hinges, a security boxed push lock and a figure eight slash for extra safety. This bracelet is very rare and we has not been able to locate other pieces from this collection, as a note we are offering in our other listings the matching Fred of Paris wood ring in suite to this bracelet. Country: Paris, France. Period: Modernist, 1960-1971 Weight: 43.5 grams, (27.90 Dwt). Size: 7 Inches, (18 Cm.). Measurements: 48 mm by 67 mm, (1.50 x 1.18 Inches) and raise 18 mm over the wrist. Hallmarks: Stamped with French national marks and British import marks; the maker's mark ER with a cat's face inside a lozenge cartouche, the mark of the eagle for the assay and warranty of the 18kt yellow gold, three times with the mark of Diana for the exportation outside France and signed as follows: "FRED OR .750". Then with British import marks for the city of London, the importer initials LS and the import letter code Q for the date of 1971. Fred Joaillier The company is more commonly known as Fred of Paris, is a French jewelry and watch brand founded in 1936 by Fred Samuel in Paris and operated by the company "Fred Paris". The company has more than fifty of its own shops worldwide and various retail outlets in some thirty countries. They offer exclusively with high end and sophisticated designs. This bracelet has been crafted with four fluted stations, in solid rich yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish. It is fitted with an invisible hinge, a push boxed lock and a hinged security slash for extra safety. Weight: 94.74 Grams (60.74 Dwt.). Size: The inside circumference is 6.65 Inches (17 Cm). Measurements: Thickness of 15 mm (0.59 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed, "WEBB 18KT". David Webb (1925-1975) was an American jeweler. On July 28, 1948, he founded David Webb, the company, which opened at 2 West 46th Street. Among his clients were Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Barbara Streisand and Beyoncé have also worn his jewelry. Beautiful statement piece made in Zurich Switzerland, back in the 1970's. This is a one-of-a-kind bracelet carefully crafted by Paul Binder itself in solid 18 karats of polished yellow gold and is suited with a hinged tension mechanism with an invisible push lock. Is embellished, with a pair of polished curved elements, carved from exotics natural Macassar ebony wood. The carvings are placed in such way that the natural veins of the wood are in free forms, curvilineal position creating a great contrast of shiny tonalities. Mount, with an impeccable pave setting of 74 very fine white colorless diamonds. all of them are round brilliants cuts and gradated (.02-.06 cts), with a combined weight of 2.24 carats, E/F color, VS-1 clarity. In addition there have 26 round brilliant cuts of natural colored diamonds, 1.56 carats, fancy colors (yellow, orange, champagne, brown, pink and green), VS-2 clarity. have a total weight of 55.7 grams and fit a wrist up to 6.5 inches (16 cm).
