18 Karat Yellow Gold Anchor Link Bracelet With Toggle Clasp

This very bold bracelet was made in Florence and dates to the second half of the 20th Century. Crafted from 18 karat yellow gold the bracelet consists of hollow links which alternate between highly polished and matte beaten textures. The bracelet features a beautifully crafted 'integrated' clasp in which one of the links hinges open, and fastens with a snap closure. The piece has Italian hallmarks for 18 karat gold and a mark indicating it was manufactured in Firenze (Florence), however the maker is unidentified. Because of the generous size of the bracelet, for someone with a smaller build a link could be removed by a jeweller to make the length slightly shorter. Beautifully crafted this piece has the most wonderful rattle when worn and would be lovely paired with an equally oversized round gold bangle...

We are very excited to present this wonderful handcrafted bracelet by Mario Buccellati. The two tone bracelet consists of woven gold ovals of alternating 18 karat yellow and 18 karat white gold that has been woven or braided. The interlocked links have then been very finely brushed to give a softer matte finish which could be described as a Florentine finish. The bracelet features a tongue and box clasp and two figure of eight safety catches which are all incorporated into an integrated link clasp. The clasp and safety catches are working well and are secure, ensuring the piece stays on tightly with three points of attachment. Whilst this bracelet is on the smaller side in terms of its circumference it certainly makes up for that in its quality craftsmanship by arguably Italy's most highly regarded goldsmith, Mario Buccellati.
