Antique Amethyst Egg Charm of 18k Gold
About the Item
This antique pendant (circa 1910) features an 18k gold and enamel egg with a pearl, amethyst, and rose cut diamond buckle.
The piece measures 1 inch from the top of the jump ring to bottom by 0.65 inches wide. The charm is in good condition; however, some of the amethysts are later replacements, and the one closest to the pearls is chipped. Also, the pearls seem to be glued in place (although they are quite secure).
The piece is solid 18k gold and weighs 8.85 grams.
The metal content of this pendant was verified using an XRF machine (x ray analysis) and with jeweler's acids.
