Antique Griffin Charm with Sapphire & Diamond in 14k Gold (c. 1890)
A mythical guardian of treasure and a symbol of courage and strength, the griffin has long captured the imagination of artists and collectors alike. This antique charm, dating to circa 1890, features a beautifully rendered griffin in solid 14k gold, accented with a bright sapphire eye and a sparkling diamond at its wing.
Once the head of an antique stickpin, this finely detailed piece has been thoughtfully converted into a pendant or charm—offering new life to a 19th-century treasure while preserving its original artistry.
It measures approximately 0.7 inches from the top of the jump ring to the bottom and 0.4 inches wide, and is offered in great antique condition, with crisp detail and a well-preserved finish.
