About the Item

Sterling Silver Hinged Bangle Bracelet Signed by John Millward Banks, Birmingham. Initialed "J.M.B" With Date Letter for 1885-6. The firm was established in 1863 in Birmingham with manufacturing premises at 6 Northampton Street, Birmingham and Showroom at 12, 14 Beake Street, Regent Street, London. In 1900 c. the firm name was changed to J.M. Banks & Co. The hinged front with button release has an inset panel engraved with leaves and surrounded by a deeply carved wave border. With a 8.5" circumference. Trent Antiques has been a respected name in antiques for over 30 years with a large collection of period furniture, art, books, jewelry and decorative accessories.
