About the Item

Large shining circular floral links of various size cut steel bits sparkle with the light of diamonds on this lovely bracelet. Although the jewelry did not contain precious gems, Georgian cut steel jewelry was admired by the royal court and aristocrats from the moment they saw it. They recognized the amount of hand work that it took to create a bracelet or necklace and the value that brings. Each bit of steel was faceted and polished by hand. A back plate was then created in metal or brass in the design that the jeweler wished. Tiny holes were then drilled into that backing to which the tiny faceted bits were attached. The work was so well made that the rivets remain in place in this bracelet to this day. In the evening this jewelry twinkled like diamonds by candlelight. Excellent condition. 22.7 grams Fits a wrist size 5 to 6
