About the Item

A beautiful Art Deco platinum bracelet featuring an Old European cut diamond accented with table cut sapphires and single cut diamonds. The bracelet carries a swirling pattern, which is composed of the alternated diamond and sapphire ribbons. It graduates in size, running smaller towards the clasp. There is a bezel set Old European cut diamond in the center surrounded by a halo of the smaller diamonds. This Art Deco platinum bracelet is a fine, hand-crafted piece. Being worn as a single piece, it makes an excellent example of the era’s jewelry. However, you can mix it with the different jewels to make it stand out and look edgy. The Old European cut diamond in the center weighs approximately 0.70-carat and is of K-L color, SI1 clarity. The additional single cut diamonds are J-K color, VS2 clarity, total weight approximately 1.30 carats. The table cut sapphire total weight is approximately 0.70 carat. This Art Deco diamond platinum bracelet weighs 22.4 grams. Its width graduates from 3/8" (0.9 cm) in the center to 1/8" (0.3 cm) at the clasp. The bracelet fits up to 7” (17 cm) wrist. . About Art Deco Jewelry: Art Deco jewelry has remained highly appreciated since its appearance in 1920s — the time also knows as Jazz Age. The style continuously remains popular until today. What’s the secret of the Art Deco success? First comes the design itself. Neat geometrical shapes embodied in platinum makes a refined jewelry piece look very appealing. Simple yet powerful, straight lines along with precise workmanship create a striking impression. Add to that a pear or marquise cut gemstone and you won’t be able to forget that perfect Art Deco piece. Platinum, being the most popular material during Art Deco era, also contributed to the period jewelry popularity. At that time the Merensky-Riff, the world’s largest platinum deposit, was discovered in South Africa. And platinum’s title as the main Art Deco metal was fully established. Vintage Art Deco engagement rings are always in high demand. They have a perfectly balanced geometry and often feature Old European and cushion cut diamonds. Black and white combos, such as diamond and black onyx or black enamel create a dramatic effect.

About Edwardian Jewelry: Edwardian jewelry design, common during the reign of King Edward VII of the United Kingdom (1901-1910), reflects the opulence and sophistication of the period. This era is known for its refined craftsmanship and influence of the cultural trends. One of the hallmarks of Edwardian jewelry is the extensive use of platinum. This metal enabled makers to create elaborate settings and allowed for the creation of light, lace-like patterns. That’s why pieces of the Edwardian era showcase filigree work, where fine wires of metal are twisted and shaped into delicate designs. The main motifs for Edwardian jewelry frequently drew inspiration from nature. Common themes included garlands, flowers, and leaves. These elements were often rendered in a romantic manner, reflecting the period's appreciation for natural beauty. Diamonds were the gemstone of choice during the Edwardian era, often used with platinum to enhance the sparkle and whiteness of the gems. Pearls were also highly favored, symbolizing purity and sophistication. These gemstones were commonly used in tiaras, necklaces, and brooches...
