About the Item

Superb Scandinavian Modernist smoky quartz and sterling silver large statement bracelet by Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe for Georg Jensen Denmark 1968 Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe is considered the most important female Scandinavian jewellery designer of the 20th Century. Her work is part of the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the British Museum, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs Le Louvre, Paris, the Swedish National Museum, among others. Pablo Picasso was an early admirer of her work and invited her to exhibit at his museum in Antibes in 1958. She began her collaboration with Georg Jensen in 1967, making this bracelet (1968) one of her earliest designs for the company. The design is deceptively simple, centering a bold square cut smoky quartz gemstone set in an elegant sterling silver mount, perfectly balanced by a curved sterling silver C scroll which envelops the wrist for a seamless fit. Torun Bulow Hube believed that a piece of jewelry should enhance the wearer and this stunning bracelet does just that. Condition: Very Good, light surface wear commensurate with age Dimensions: Smoky Quartz 30mm by 30mm by 17mm, approximately 72 TCW Exterior diamater: 8.5 inches Interior diameter: 6.5 inches Weight: 95 grams

Modernist Georg Jensen Astrid Fog Large Sterling Silver Cross Bars Necklace
By Georg Jensen
Located in New York, NY
Scarce large 1970's Scandinavian Modernist sterling silver cross bars necklace by Astrid Fog for Georg Jensen. Astrid Fog (1911-1993) designed her first jewelry collection for Georg Jensen in 1969. Her jewelry designs are distinctive for their large scale and bold, modernist style using classic geometric forms such as rectangles, circles and squares. She successfully utilized high quality lightweight, hollow silver forms to create pieces which were striking as well as comfortable to wear. This beautiful necklace is from the estate of a noted New York City psychiatrist who collected interesting, unusual, often one-of-a-kind jewelry. The pendant measures 2.19 inches by 2.19 inches. The chain is 29 inches long. Marks: 379 925 S Denmark Georg Jensen...

Vintage Silver and Smoky Quartz Bracelet by Gussi Made 1965
Located in Stockholm, SE
This vintage silver bracelet features a bold, round smoky quartz stone with a deeply ridged, fluted cut, enhancing its reflective properties. The stone’s color shifts between deep brown and translucent amber, depending on the angle. It is set in a slightly elevated bezel, making it a striking focal point. The silver band has a wide base that gradually narrows as it approaches the setting, enhancing its sculptural form. The bracelet closes on one side of the setting with a peg-in-hole mechanism integrated into the design. On the wrist, it appears sculptural and modernist, with the raised quartz catching light dynamically. The polished silver contrasts beautifully with the faceted stone, making it an elegant statement piece. This bold silver and smoky quartz bracelet...
