About the Item
This is a fabulous Octopus Bracelet in Gilt Sterling Silver from Italy. The Octopus wraps around the wrist to create a magnificent undersea creature that appears to be almost alive. The Octopus is Gold over Sterling Silver with Cubic Zirconia gems. It has a brushed gold finish.
The legs are all articulated to wrap around the wrist. There are two closures. There is a clasp on one leg and a magnetic clasp on another so the octopus fits securely on the wrist. The Octopus is signed with a Star 1746 AR, 925 in a lozenge and ITALY along with a script maker's mark that I cannot identify. The Octopus dates to the Retro, Mid-Century period. The craftsmanship and design are exemplary of the extraordinary Italian silversmiths and goldsmiths whose jewels have been revered for centuries. This beautiful sea creature with its renowned intelligence will be a magnificent addition to your wardrobe.
The bracelet opens to fit over the wrist and is adjustable in size. The clasp has numerous openings to fit into so as to fit the size of your wrist.
The octopus is 5.5 inches (14 cm) long.
The bracelet is marked with a Star 1746 AR and 925 for Sterling Silver, and Italy and a maker's mark.
The gems are Cubic Zirconia.
The bracelet weighs 150 grams.
