Art Nouveau Enamel Flower Pendant Brooch by Krementz
About the Item
Iris, the Greek goddess of the rainbow, was said to bridge earth and heaven, and the flowers that now bear her name, were planted on graves to help her guide the souls to heaven.
This antique 14k gold brooch/pendant by the renowned Krementz & Co. (circa 1910-1920) features an iris adorned in pale pink and green enamel, accented by two glittery diamonds and a single dog tooth pearl.
The piece measures 1.1 inches from top to bottom by 1 inch wide, and it is in very good condition with a small bit of cold enamel restoration to the bottom right pink petal (visible only under magnification).
The metal content of this brooch was verified using XRF (x-ray analysis) and jeweler's acids.
