About the Item

A brooch designed by George L'Enfant. Beautiful piece created in Paris France at the atelier of George L'Enfant, in the late 1960's. This brooch was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with white gold four-prong settings. Suited at the reverse with a hinged double pins bars with a trombone security lock. The white gold mountings are set with very fine calibrated 14 round brilliant cuts diamonds with a combined weight of 1.04 carat, F/G color, VS-2 clarity. Has a total weight of 17.95 grams and a measurements of 62 mm by 40 mm (2.44 x 1.57 inches). Stamped, with French hallmarks; three times with the eagle head for the assay and guaranty of the 18 kt, the maker's logo GL18K and the maitre maker's cartouche GL Note: The jewelry atelier of George L'Enfant, was located in Paris, at 47 rue Des Petits-Champs. Note: It is very interesting, that this piece is stamped with two different marks of George L'Enfant. Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box. Condition: The overall condition of this brooch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All the gemstones, are secured in the settings. An enameled brooch designed by Peter Lindeman (1930-2024). This is a gorgeous modernist brooch, created in New York City by the artist and goldsmith Peter Lindeman, back in the 1970. The beautiful brooch was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with polished finish and embellished with applications of green and blue glass enamels.The brooch is mounted with seventeen gorgeous white colorless diamonds and is fitted at the reverse with a hinged pin bar with a mechanical twist lock. This brooch may be adjusted to wear as a pendant. Country: New York City, United States. Artist: Peter Lindeman. Period: Modernist, 1970. Weight: 28.65 Grams, (18.36 Dwt,). Diamonds: Mounted in four-prongs settings, with 17 well matched round brilliant cut diamonds, with a total weight of about 1.17 carats, white colorless F, VS clarity.
