Victorian Cherub Cupid Angel Swing Brooch Pin Silver Grape Leaves
About the Item
This is a very rare and wonderful Victorian brooch pin with a Winged Cherub, Cupid or Angel on a swing that hangs from a vine or branch of grape leaves. The cupid is silver. The wonderful piece features a fully modeled three dimensional cherub swinging from a swing. The swing hangs from a grape leaf vine. The cherub swings wonderfully, he wears a sash around his waist that is blowing in the wind, his face is wonderful. The romantic and charming image is beautifully rendered. The cherub and swing are silver. The grape vine is either silver gilt or a brass or bronze metal. The special brooch dances delightfully when worn and creates a conversation piece to be passed on for generations. The brooch could be easily converted to a pendant if desired.
The brooch is 3 inches (8 cm) tall and is 2 1/4 inches (6 cm) wide.
The cherub alone is 30mm tall.
