The earrings are made in an irregular pentagon shape. The diamonds are four-prong set in two rows around the perimeter. The marquise shaped sapphires are staged in the center. Sparkly white diamonds perfectly enhance the deep blue color of the sapphire.
Due to their unconventional shape, these classic diamond sapphire French earrings look modern and up to date.
These vintage earrings are made of 18 karat yellow gold and feature a marquise cut sapphire ( approximately 4 carats total) framed with two rows of round brilliant cut diamonds (G-H color, VS clarity, approximately 3.0 carats total).
The earrings measure 7/8" x 3/4” x 1/2" (2.1 x 1.8 x 1 cm) and weight 14.9 grams.
The vintage earrings are stamped with Areza maker's mark and workshop mark, French hallmarks for 18k gold, serial number.
The earrings are clip-on, posts can be added.

Pair of clips-on earrings designed by JAR Paris.
These are a splendid pair of clips-on earrings, created in Paris France by the iconic luxury jewelry designer Joel Arthur Rosenthal known as JAR Paris. The fabulous earring has been crafted in shiny golden aluminum and 18 karats yellow gold. They are designed in the shape of golden feathers and are fitted at the reverse with concealed French omega backs for fastening clips. The backs are for non pierced ears.

The Style
These sculptural earrings, was in fact first created by JAR in very limited editions. This style has grown in popularity since then due to the fact they are easy to wear while exhibiting the designer's love for flowers and nature. These earrings are certainly worthy of their iconic status in the world of jewelry design. As an interesting note, at the 2002 exhibition 400 of his works were displayed in near darkness, with visitors using torches to view and take in each item one at a time.
