About the Item
This striking demi parure consists of a pendant in the shape of an orchid and matching good size orchid clip-on- earrings. The set was made in the late 1940's out of 14 carat rose gold and platinum. Out of a platinum element decorated with diamonds in mille grain settings rise five ruby set flower pistels each set with fife round cut diamonds.
The clip-on-earrings are marked on the reverse 'pat pend'
and 14 carat. The pendant is fitted with a hook that will sit on one of those so called "tube au gaz' necklaces.
