1900 Victorian 18k Gold over Silver Old Mine Cut Diamond Earrings
About the Item
These absolutely knockout earrings are from the Victorian Era and feature a staggering 14 carats of old mine-cut diamonds in silver over gold starburst-shaped earrings. The top of the earrings features a sprawling star design with layered ‘arms’ of white gold set with scintillating white old mine cut diamonds. At the center of the star sits a glorious 1-carat old mine-cut diamond that is truly the center of its universe! The starburst is an 8-ray star with a longer 8-ray star overlaid, giving a classic Victorian starburst design. Each arm of the shorter star has two graduating mine cuts and the longer arms have four. Every mine cut is well-matched.
Beneath the star is a 12.5mm South Sea pearl capped with a silver-over-gold six-sided cap set with three diamonds on each side! The diamond-encrusted cap securely holds the white South Sea pearl. The combination of mine cut diamonds, silver over gold, and suspended pearl create a look that is the penultimate moment for any wearer’s evening!
These earrings are not quiet – they are classically Victorian with a sophisticated design that is for the bold woman who wants to be noticed and talked about for hours thereafter!
