About the Item

A pair of old European Diamond Earrings dating from ca 1930s. Each composed of upper part and suspended moving pendant. Each earring is 18mm long. Earrings not hallmarked, metal tested solid 18K White Gold, stoppers in Yellow Gold,both hallmarked 18K. All Diamonds are naturals of old oval and round European cut. 1st Earring's stones measure about : 4.5 x 3.5 x 2.6 mm / 0.27ct + Ø 3 mm / 0.15ct + Ø 3mm / 0.15ct + 3.75 x 3.5 x 2.5 mm / 0.2ct /// total ca.0.77 ctw 2nd Earring's stones measure,about : 4.5 x 3.5 mm x 2.3 deep /0.27ct +Ø 3 mm /0.15ct + Ø 3 x 2.3 deep /0.17 ct + 3.5 x 2.75 x 2.2 mm deep /ca.0.15ct // / total ca. 0.74ctw Total weight of diamonds on both earrings : ca 1.5 ctw. Gemstones may often look differently in different light and weather conditions and time of the day, both indoors and outdoors. Stones of the rings photographed alone may look a bit differently when on hand because your finger makes the back side of the stone closed and light no longer can go through and the color becomes different. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described. Atelier De Montplaisir will not be responsible if in the process of resizing or customization any stone on the ring becomes loose, if any deformation occurs in general or if band of the ring changes shape or becomes deformed. Polishing of the band is always a final step of any resizing but machinery used for polishing causes vibration that old rings (with prongs for example ) often do not like at all.
