A breathtaking pair of earrings made in the Iberian peninsula in the early Georgian (ca1730s) era! Crafted in 18kt yellow gold, these stunning earrings each begin with a surmount featuring a square cut emerald in a rub-over bezel setting. The emeralds are surrounded by a radiating textured frame lined with scrolling details at the top and bottom of the surmount. Hanging below is a textured pear shaped drop frame holding a rectangle cut emerald in a rub-over bezel, accented with more scrolling detailing. These earrings are absolutely gorgeous and frame the face beautifully as the emerald facets catch the light. Dazzling pair of museum quality Herring/ Chandelier earrings (collector's item), with electric foiled Emeralds. Inlaid with rose-cut and table-cut diamonds. Superbly preserved, dating from the late 18th century (1780). A set of sparkling flat rose-cut diamonds decorates each earring along with sixteen vibrant step-cut green emeralds. They range in value from 0.15ct (6 emeralds) to 1.20ct (8 emeralds), and total approximately 10ct in both. The galleries have ornate detailing and are fitted with three droppers at the bottom with a hinge in the center to allow them to swing and dance freely. The earrings preserve its original clip hooks and are divided into three bodies, the upper one can be separated and worn independently. Size: Height 80mm (78mm inc. hooks) x Width 23mm x Depth 5.5mm. Metal: Silver/ 18ct Gold (Tested) Stones: Emeralds (Major 6.46mmx 5.38mm, approx. 1.20ct each - 10 carats total), Diamonds (approx. 4ct total).
