Antique Shibayama Insect Conversion Earrings of 14k Gold
About the Item
To create these earrings, our jeweler carefully cut antique shibayama game pieces (circa 1880) into an oval shape, mounted them in 14k gold, and added 14k ear wires and sapphire surmounts.
Each earring measures 1 inch from the top of the ear wire to bottom by 0.3 inches wide, and they are in excellent condition.
The metal content of these earrings was verified via XRF (x ray analysis) and with jeweler's acids.
