Antique Watch Cock Conversion Earrings
About the Item
These slightly mismatched earrings were converted from antique Georgian watch cocks (circa 1780-1800) by adding 14k gold ear wires and tsavorite garnet to the gold gilt dangles.
Each earring measures 1.25 inches from the top of the ear wire to bottom by 0.8 inches wide, and they are in great condition.
The metal content of these earrings was verified via XRF (x ray analysis) and with jeweler's acids.
