A mid-20th century opal and diamond drop earrings, each earring with a pear-shaped cabochon-cut opal, each measuring approximately 22 x 9mm and estimated to weigh a combined total of 6 carats for the pair, each opal claw-set in yellow gold collet suspended within a pear-shaped diamond-set frame, with a flexible diamond set run and a single brilliant-cut diamond-set top, the diamonds estimated to weigh 2.3 carats in total, all mounted in platinum and gold, circa 1955, measuring 5 x 1.6cm, gross weight 11.1 grams.
This vintage pair of earrings is in very god condition for its age. Unmarked, tested as platinum and 18ct gold, with 18ct gold post and scroll fittings.
