About the Item
Marquetry earrings in 18k yellow gold and aquamarine by Brazilian designer Silvia Furmanovich. The drop design earring is hand crafted in gold with a prong set, pear shape, faceted natural aquamarine. A green bamboo knot joins the fan shape marquetry drop which displays inlay tones of green, tan, and sage in a leaf pattern. Pierced posts with omega clip backs. Signed 'SF' with a gold mark '750'. The earrings are slightly angled to properly display the marquetry fan bottom.
Furmanovich draws on nature for her inspirational pieces. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Silvia Furmanovich comes from a long line of Italian goldsmiths. As a child, Furmanovich spent hours observing her goldsmith father in his atelier. In 1998, she launched her own collection and opened her first boutique in São Paulo in 2009.
