Victorian 22k Enamel Tassel Earrings
About the Item
A beautiful pair of tassel earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in vibrant 22k yellow gold, each earring begins with a circular surmount, which is smooth and simple. The earrings then feature an intricate gold cap, which features black tracery enamel work. The enameling depicts scrolling motifs and dainty flowers, which adds to the unique appeal of the earrings. Hanging from the cap are small, braided tassels, which move freely when worn. The bottom of each tassel features a small gold ball. The earrings are completed by simple wires.
Measurements: The earrings hang 2" long, and measure 3/8" across at their widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or hanging tassels. The enamel work is intact and free of any chips or damage. The earring wires are secure and in working order.
