Edited by Susan Weber Soros and Stafanie Walker This is a magnificent book which is in good condition, and is really the first to display and discuss the family and jewellery that they created. 428 pages beautifully photographed and illustrated. Text in English. Castellani jewellery consisted of finely wrought Gold, often combined with colourful mosaics, carved gemstones or enamel, which had been inspired by the precious Etruscan, Roman, Greek and Byzantine antiquities that were being excavated during the 19th century which was the time when the Castellani family were at their most prolific.
