About the Item
This book is a catalogue of an exhibition of works by the house of Carl Faberge which took place in the Shanghai Museum to celebrate the 170th anniversary of the House of Carl Faberge. As well as supplying the Russian Imperial family - most notably with easter eggs which were given by the last two Tsar's, Alexander lll and Nicholas ll to their respective wives Maria and Alexandra at the end of the 19th century and start of 20th century.
Faberge were also suppliers to the royal courts of Great Britain, Sweden, Greece and Siam. There are 203 items photographed in colour and described in both English and Chinese.
