Antique Victorian gold gilt metal Albert watch chain with T bar, stamped T + H. It has a coppery hue.
The T bar was originally used to go through a buttonhole. The dog clip was attached to a watch.
Measuring length 42 cm / 16.5 inches, a very wearable length.
This wonderful antique watch chain can be worn as originally intended, or it would make a lovely stylish necklace.

Trifari was born in Naples, Italy, but emigrated to New York in 1902. Gustavo Trifari began his own jewellery business in 1918 when he met Leo Kraussman. They were joined by Carl Fishel, in 1925. In 1975 the company was bought by Hallmark, and since then has been taken over by several companies. In 2000 production was finally moved overseas which brought an end to high quality signed Trifari jewellery.
