About the Item

Sevan Bicakci is a renowned Turkish jewelry designer of Armenian descent. Known as the "King of Rings," he is considered a star jeweler in Turkey, and has a lengthy celebrity clientele that includes Catherine Zeta Jones, Brooke Shields, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Halle Berry, Liv Tyler, and many others. His fantastical designs incorporate Byzantine and Ottoman styles, blending mixed metals with luscious gemstones and elaborate motifs. This contemporary padlock pendant is a wonderful example of Sevan Bicakci's stylish work! The mixed metals piece has a two-tone design crafted in sterling silver with a vibrant 24kt yellow gold interior. Reminiscent of a Victorian era padlock, it has a beautiful hand-etched motif that graces both sides of the pendant. The flowing design incorporates delicate diamond accents throughout, which add a subtle sparkle! A simple looped handle at the top also functions as the clasp, and can be pulled opened and snapped into place. One side of the handle is signed "© Sevan" and the other side is stamped "AB 925." The padlock would look wonderful worn on a silver or gold chain, and is a perfect everyday accessory. A very versatile piece by a famous designer, it would make a special addition to the fashion-forward woman's collection! The padlock hangs 1 3/8" long, including the handle at the top. The shield-shaped padlock base measures 1" tall (excluding the handle), 1" wide, and 3/8" thick. The total weight of the piece is 23.5 grams.

Wear consistent with age and use. The piece is in excellent pre-owned condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling or gold setting. All of the small diamond accents are intact. The padlock function is secure and in good working condition.
