About the Item

This is a stunning Edwardian Austrian pendant from 1910 in 14k yellow gold featuring a stunning red ruby center and a gorgeous old mine cut diamond accent! The pendant has a delicate, arching open design that is reminiscent of fine lace. The swirling gold arches of the pendant have a very fine milgrain detailing that is echoed in the delicate bezel setting of the center ruby and accented by the smooth bezel of the diamond! The ruby is an elegant pear shape and has a rich red and purple color with bright fire! The ruby is perfectly complemented by the brilliant white diamond set above it. The ruby and diamond are set into an articulated section within the pendant, creating a small, subtle amount of movement. This is a fantastic pendant that would be perfect on a yellow gold chain and resting on your favorite cream sweater or above that A-line dress you love! This pendant is the ideal piece for someone looking for everyday beauty that can also be used to spice up their formal look. The bail of the pendant is marked with a maker’s mark and an Austrian gold standard mark. The ruby center has a total weight of 0.25 carats. The diamond has a weight of 0.03 carats and is G in color and SI1 in clarity. The pendant is about 1 1/4" long (including the bail) by 5/8" wide. This pendant is shipped on a promotional chain. The chain is for display purposes and not meant to be worn for an extended period of time.
