About the Item
A vintage necklace, featuring a silver Alexander The Great coin charm set in 18k gold and a 14k cold chain necklace.
The obverse side of the coin, shown in the full necklace image, depicts Alexander the Great. The image is framed by a smooth gold bezel. On the reverse side a detailed figure of Athena is seated, holding Nike, the goddess of victory, in her outstretched hand. Athena wears a helmet and rests on a shield, with a spear positioned diagonally behind her. The pendant hangs from a fine, twisted gold link chain. This ancient coin necklace is a perfect layering piece.
The chain is 14" long, the coin is 5/8" (see the photo next to a quarter for the scale).
