Antique French Belle Époque Silver Pendant Necklace Markasites Coloured Paste
About the Item
This Belle Époque necklace was created out of silver in France towards the end of the 19th century. The design of the pendant shows a smaller and a larger bow crowning a garland. The pendant is set with marcasites of varying sizes.
Three light pink paste stones in closed settings and an intensive red paste stone in an open setting are suspended from the pendant. On the reverse the pendant is impressed with a lozenge shaped French makers mark and two silver hallmarks.
The top part of the pendant is engraved with the number 289, on the lowest point of the reverse of the pendant we read the number 361.
The pendant is suspended from a silver chain.
