About the Item
Antique Shibuichi Pendant: This pendant features a three dimensional scene of a bird in a blossoming tree. The pendant is a Japanese mixed metal technique known as shibuchi (similar to shakudo). It was originally an antique cufflink (circa 1870-1880) that our jeweler transformed by adding a 14k gold back and bail.
The piece measures 1.25 inches from the top of the bail to bottom by 1 inch wide and weighs 10.89 grams. It is in great condition.
The metal content of this pendant was verified via XRF and with jeweler's acids.
