Antique Victorian Necklace Collar Locket Pendant Sterling Silver Birds Flowers
About the Item
This Victorian necklace, a so called collar comes with its original locket pendant. The locket was made by S. Blankensee and Son in Birmingham in 1890 or 1898, the letter is hard to decipher, out of sterling silver. The links of the collar features three different ornaments, a bird on a flower branch, a rose and a smaller link with foliage. All the rectangular links are partially gilt with rose gold.
The locket pendant is decorated with garden flowers surrounded by a rose gold colour frame. The locked has a bevelled outline. The reverse of the pendant carries Birmingham hallmarks and the makers mark. The eyelet of the pendant is also hallmarked. There is a small dent on the reverse of the locket.
