Art Deco Certified 15 Carat Colombian Emerald Sapphire Diamond Pendant Necklace Platinum 1930s. Art Deco 15.2 carat certified Colombian emerald, sapphire and diamond pendant-on-chain necklace in platinum, 1930s/1940s. Of Egyptian Revival inspiration, this exquisite jewel showcases a triangular step-cut diamond at its center, adorned by a radiant frame of round brilliant-cut diamonds. Suspended from this magnificent centerpiece is an articulated geometric drop embellished with a stunning pear-shaped Colombian emerald, complemented by meticulously calibré-cut sapphires and a constellation of round brilliant-cut diamonds. Held gracefully by a later cable-link chain in 19.2kt white gold with Portuguese hallmarks, the pendant's surmount boasts a distinct locking system, indicating its past as a cherished part of a larger jewel, adding a unique narrative to its history. TECHNICAL DATA: • Emerald: Pear-shape; accompanied by GCS report 5784-2426 (23/05/2024) stating 15.20 carats, Colombian geographic origin opinion, natural with indications of moderate clarity enhancement. • Main Diamond: Triangular step-cut; estimated 2.73 carats (approximately 13.52x10.53x3.03mm); I/J color (assessed); VS1 clarity (assessed). Other Diamonds: 90 stones; Transitional round brilliant-cut and round brilliant-cut; estimated 1.6 carats in total. • Sapphires: 4 stones; calibré-cut; estimated 0.30 carats in total. • Chain with Oporto hallmark “ant” (used 1938-1984) for 19.2K white gold; maker’s mark “J” for a Portuguese jeweler from the same period. • Dimensions: 7.8 x 1.9 cm. • Weight: 14.86g.
