A rough amethyst and 18 karat gold pendant, by Swiss artist jeweler Roland Schad.
Signed Roland Schad, Paris. Stamped with maker's mark and Paris assay. Numbered. With purple silk cord. Roland Schad is known for his brutalist aesthetic, juxtaposing rough gemstones with daring, highly-sculptural settings. Schad founded his company in Paris in 1963 and worked mainly with untreated precious metals, precious and semi-precious stones.
