About the Item
This imperial jadeite jade butterfly is out of this world! This is certified by two labs to be natural jadeite jade. The pendant / brooch is set in 18k white gold and yellow gold. There are 2 carved imperial green jade wings. We estimate around 0.50cts of white diamonds are used in this setting. The 18k yellow gold body of the butterfly are set with some Tsavorites and rubies. Imperial green color jades are very rare and highly sort after. This pendant can also can be used as a brooch. This fine jewelry is made with an eye catching imperial green jade that is mesmerizing. The wings are very noticeable, it glows, with highly saturated green color and excellent translucency. The icy imperial green jade is simple and classic, showing off its natural beauty. The color really pops. You can see this from far away! The untreated / unenhanced natural jade is well polished showing off its highly sort after imperial green color. An 18k white gold chain will be included in this sale. The pendant brooch is about 3.5cm x 3.5cm. Photos does not do this pendant justice. IMPERIAL JADE
The term “imperial jade” is often misused in many jade sale listings because true imperial jade is extremely rare and expensive.
True imperial jade must have BOTH a strong saturation of green AND a high degree of translucency. Natural Material meeting both of these conditions is very uncommon and hardly seen. Color saturation and translucency are indirectly proportional. Material with a stronger saturation of color is more dense and less translucent. The opposite holds true as well.
The GLOW which emanates from a piece of imperial jade is absolutely spectacular! We have listed several true pieces of imperial jade in 1stDibs. These items were acquired over the course of three generations as several decades of collecting. Rare treasure from the Earth indeed!

This is certified to be natural jadeite jade. 99% of jade with this imperial green color and transparency are treated and enhanced one way or another. But this one is certified all natural! The very versatile pendant / brooch is set in 18k white gold. The dragonfly has colorful enameled wings, there are also natural round brilliant diamonds and ruby eyes and tail. The center imperial jade cabochon is a pure beauty! The center jadeite measures about 10.3mm x 9.11mm. Throughout the brooch are more bright green natural jades and Burma rubies. There is an estimated 0.15cts of round brilliant diamonds in this setting. Natural un-treated imperial bright green jades of this quality are rare and highly sort after. This Jade dragonfly is eye catching and mesmerizing. The brooch is very noticeable, it glows with excellent translucency. You can see this from far away!
