There are many different colors of jade that are represented in this handbag charm / drop pendant necklace. You have all the colors of the rainbow. Amongst the colors are the more rare apple green, lavender, and "red" Jade. There are also some icy jades in this group. This was an old old piece that we acquired over 20 years ago. It was previously used as a charm hanging on a bird cage to bring good luck. Wearing the jade where it touches your skin will also bring good luck. Natural materials with good colors like this are getting harder and harder to find. As a business stand point, no one in their right mind would make a piece like this because of the large amount of natural jade material needed. Now a days this would have been made into many pairs of earrings in order to make the most return. The untreated / unenhanced natural jade is translucent. Please refer to the detailed photos. The handbag charm / drop pendant necklace is put together with a traditional chinese string / cord. It took many hours to skillfully put this together. The string cord is adjustable to more than 25 inches and would easily go around your neck. A collector would want this piece for their collection. This would be a great gift for that special someone.
