This exquisite early 20th-century pendant showcases a striking crescent and star motif, skilfully crafted in gold and suspended from an elegant solid gold 18-inch cable chain. The crescent features three rows of graduating split pearls and vibrant coral cabochons, creating a harmonious contrast and delicate visual texture. The star centrepiece is adorned with a single old-cut diamond (approximately 0.15 carats, H-I colour, VS2-SI1 clarity), accented by five luminous split pearls.
The crescent’s intricate open latticework and raised architectural structure gives the pendant a three-dimensional quality. Repurposed and thoughtfully redesigned using elements from a gold watch chain and a brooch, this necklace blends historic charm with a modern elegance, making it a versatile and timeless accessory.
